Design and Living

My love for design started when I was really young. I've always been fascinated by how design can show emotions and change how people see things. As a kid, I walked in fashion shows, styled clothes, and even created a K-pop fan account on Instagram that got over 7,000 followers in middle school. I loved using design to tell stories and connect with people.

When I first got to UC Davis, I actually wanted to be a doctor and studied pre-med. But I kept thinking about my creative side throughout college. I realized that design was what I really wanted to do because it combined creativity, problem-solving, and helping people - everything I was looking for. So I changed my major to Design with a minor in Psychology and really got into visual storytelling.

I just finished the BRIDGEGOOD UX Design Apprenticeship, where I led a team to create a product that helps case workers quickly find resources for young people who have been in the system or know someone who has been in jail. Working on this project made me fall in love with solving problems through creativity and being part of a community that cares about making a difference.

This whole journey brought me to UX design, where I can use both my analytical skills and creative side to create digital experiences that actually help people.
